The sampling of information that interests us was conducted from the Tibetan writing of the XVII century В«The Blue BerylВ», indications for the use of certain types of raw materials, medical terminology, including anatomical terms, the types of pain (94 species, including 70 localizations and 24 characters), illnesses of hollow and solid organs, diseases of the psyche and eye, as well as 58 types of procedures (including methods of bloodletting, reflexology, water treatments); the identification of a number of nosological forms, decoding and commentation from the positions of modern science the specific terms and concepts, analysis of pathogenesis, clinics, diagnostics, tools and treatments were carried out. Comparative analysis of these data with previously entered information from В«Bdud RtsiВ» (XI c.), В«Kunpan-dudziВ» (XIX c.) and information from published sources and original data from the archives will enable for the experts in the different fields of knowledge to trace the changes in the area of theoretical knowledge, arsenal of drugs, changes in the descriptions of diseases from the XI to XX centuries.
For further solving of analytical problems by created DB, the analysis and systematization of information into the database on plant material was performed for the plant families represented in the database in the largest number (Fabaceae, Lamiaceae, Scrophulariaceae, Apiaceae) as genera and families, which representatives on Transbaikalia territory and ethnic Buryatia were replaced with plants of native flora (Combertaceae, Magnoliacea, Rosaceae; Saussurea, Costus, Crocus, and others). The experimental studies on the determination of the chemical composition of some types of plant raw materials used in Tibetan medicine were performed for further inclusion in the DB. Their necessity was stipulate by the failure or lack of information on the chemical composition and biological properties of these plant species in the current literature. Using DB the application cases of the above plants families were analyzed; the validity of their use in the Tibetan sources was determined, and the possibility of replacing the imported raw materials вЂ“ the species of Pedicularis, Costus, Crocus, Caesalpinia genera, as well as the illegality of replacement of Cassia tora seeds by Caragana spinosa seeds, and saffron (Crocus sativus) by Calendula (Calendula officinalis), and others.
In order to find the substitutes and to establish the legitimacy of the replacement the composition and quantity of biologically active substances from the plants of genera Astragalus (Fabaceae), Linaria (Scrophulariaceae), Bupleurum (Apiaceae), Rheum (Polygonaceae) were also studied. The data obtained are listed in the DB. Plant material for the experimental studies and illustrative material for inclusion in the DB were collected in various parts of the rep. Buryatia.
For the experimental studies using a DB seven promising compositions were revealed which can be based on the development of drugs for systemic effects: В«Curcuma-4В» and В«Granat-5В», В«3 plodaВ», В«Oblepiha-5В», В«Devyasil-4В» В«5 korneiВ» and В«8 glavnyh.В» The chemical composition of the remedy В«Curcuma-4В» was investigated (Curcuma longa, Berberis sibirica, Tribulus terrestris, Phyllantus emblica), the active substances are isolated (respectively: curcumin, berberine, protodioscin, ascorbic and ellagic acids), the dry extract and the substance for determination the activity were obtained.
